Actor Spotlight: Laura Tipper

This week’s actor spotlight is on the fabulous Laura Tipper. Laura was one of the first actors to try out my latest location for actor headshots, ‘The Gem,’ and she was an absolute delight to work with. Very obviously a versatile actress, she was professional yet great fun to work with.

Laura has just returned from Paris after training with the renowned Philippe Gaulier over two years and during the last year, Laura managed to squeeze in a national tour with physical theatre company Highly Sprung Performance Company.

Having recently played Sophocles’ Electra in Electra, Shakespeare’s Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra, and Chekhov’s Nina in The Seagull whilst in Paris, Laura’s love for classic texts has deepened and so it was with this in mind that we set out to create a very classis, almost period look with her actor headshots.

Since working with The Awake Project under the direction of Christopher Sivesten, Laura is passionate about multi-disciplinary performance and loves working as an ensemble and devising, she thrives on utilising her training in Clown, Bouffon and Commedia Dell’ arte.

Laura has acted in several short films, most recently playing World War One heroine Edith Cavell, which I was personally extremely impressed by! Alongside all of this she has acted in commercials and uses her charismatic sound for voice over work, so all in all; a very talented lady!

Check out Laura’s credits on CASTING CALL PRO or have a listen to her voiceover work on SOUNDCLOUD! You can even follow her on TWITTER if you like!
