Casting Calls: Ridley Scott’s ‘Get Santa’ Needs Young Actor

Dixie Chassay Casting are looking for a boy aged 8-10 years for a lead role in a new children’s and family film ‘Get Santa’ by Scott Free Films produced by Ridley Scott. Shooting from January 2014 in the UK, pay meets equity requirements. Other films produced by Scott Free Films include PROMETHEUS, ROBIN HOOD, GLADIATOR, G.I. JANE.

Get Santa tells the story of a father and son who set out to save Christmas: they must find Rudolph, travel to Lapland, befriend the elves and break Santa out of jail…

As part of the audition process, Dixie Chassay Casting are accepting ‘self-tape auditions’. This involves video recording a scene and sending it to them via email.

STEP-BY-STEP Guide for Application:

– Download the scene by clicking here: bit.ly/GzB7WX

– Please have your child/applicant learn lines off by heart for the role of TOM.

– When ready to film, choose a place where there is good light and a clear background. Filming can be simply done with a clear camera phone, camcorder or using the video setting on a digital camera. Do not film too far away, we need to see his face clearly.

– Please have your child/applicant state their NAME, AGE and DATE OF BIRTH clearly as an introduction to the scene.

– Have someone read the lines for the other roles in the scene, but NOT the stage directions.

– Once the self tape audition has been filmed, please name the video clip file as per example below:
FRED SMITH-TOM-SELF TAPE (name of child-character name-SELF TAPE)
PLEASE NOTE: The video must not exceed 100MB and should be sent as .mov or .mp4 file formats only. We will not accept other formats.

– Please title the email with the same title as the audition tape, plus within the body of the email include:

DOB
Location
Parent/Agent contact details.

PROJECT: SAUDI ARABIAN PRESENTER

This is an amazing opportunity for a Saudi Arabian National based in the UK.

SUMMARY:
Martin Gibbons Casting are looking for a TV presenter / interviewer who will attend all Manchester United FC home matches and training sessions to make reports on camera and interview players.

The presenter / interviewer will become the TV representative for the relationship between a Saudi Arabian company and Manchester United FC.

(Martin Gibbons Casting can’t divulge the name of the Saudi Arabian company who this project is for as this is currently confidential).

ROLE:
– Saudi Presenter (Male)

Crew Calls: Runner – ‘Squat’

Squat and will be going into pre-production on Monday 22nd July with the shoot commencing in and around London on 10th September for five weeks. Squat, is written by David Marconi, who has written global box office films such as Enemy of The State and Die Hard 4. The film will be directed by Nic Auerbach who has made his name as a commercials director and made his debut into feature films in 2010 with The Big I am. This will Scanner-Rhodes Productions & Producer Dean Fisher seventh feature film.
