Chocolate Films is a film production company with an extremely active outreach programme. The role of Filmmaker/Workshop Facilitator involves working as a lead filmmaking trainer on production-led workshops and courses, designing new media projects and being responsible for the evaluation and administration of our community and education projects. As part of the production team, the role will involve planning and filming shoots as a self shooting filmmaker across all of our production services You will also be an integral member of our editing team; digitising and archiving footage, managing hard drives, creating DVD menus, compressing and uploading films online, writing tags for the Chocolate Films website, cutting rough assemblies and duplicating dvds.
The ideal candidate will be a diligent and thorough person that is fast and efficient and able to work independently on technical matters. We are looking for a self-starter with a positive and motivating attitude who is passionate about working with young people.
Essential attributes for the post include:
A Self shooting filmmaker
Experience as filmmaking trainer and workshop facilitator
Experience of successfully raising funds for youth and community projects
A good knowledge of DSLR moving and stills camera skills
A good knowledge of documentary lighting
A strong knowledge of mac-based editing packages especially Final Cut Pro X
A strong technical knowledge of sound equipment and accessories

Recent enhanced CRB check (within 12 months) and Clean Driving Licence
Payment: Annual salary of £17,500- £19,500 depending on experience
Duration: An initial 3 month trial period 1 June and to 31 August 2013 with a view
to longer term position. Regular working week Monday to Friday 9.30 – 6pm,
but flexibility essential as weekend and evening work is common.
